Intoduction
DigiPen Game Engineering department(DigiPen-KMU Special Program) is a dual degree program started in 2008 in collaboration with Keimyung University ("KMU") and DigiPen Institute of Technology("DigiPen"), located in Redmond, WA, USA.
Students in this program shall study their first 2.5 years at KMU and complete their subsequent two years at DigiPen in USA. Those who complete the 4.5-year-long program shall acquire a bachelor's degree in DigiPen Game Engineering at KMU and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science in Real-Time Interactive Simulation at DigiPen.
All courses, other than the 1st semester (Pre-DigiPen), are conducted in English using the DigiPen curriculum and faculty dispatched from DigiPen will teach the core classes(e.g., Computer Science courses, Game Projects) at KMU. A summary of this course is as follows:
- Mathematics, physics, computer science and programming training for game development and software development
- Practical project development for commercial game development
- Understanding fundamental game development structure by building the game engine
- All core courses taught by DigiPen faculty in English
- Affordable Tuition, but the same quality as DigiPen Redmond
